could not start: port 24856 is already in use

Post by dud999 »

Not sure how to address this error which has begun appearing lately when I start MM5.

I am not running another instance of MM and what port would I select in Options>Media Sharing?

Thanks.

Are you seeing this with MediaMonkey 5.0.4 (Help > About)?

This generally happens when MediaMonkey didn't close properly last time and is still running. Closing everything MediaMonkey in Task Manager's Detail tab and then starting MediaMonkey should run it correctly without this message.
